Hey,
Really enjoy your show, but listening to this episode, and your comments on the Samsung NX500, the NX1 and Samsung as a corporation… Well, really had me groaning with your misstatements of facts and general lack of knowledge of Samsung cameras. As an NX1 owner and user, it gets old hearing people spreading all this false info about the camera.
First, you said that Samsung isn’t innovating compared to the competition? Briefly – the NX1 when it was released had the largest back side illuminated sensor, shoots 15 fps, shoots 4K video (in h265!) and has the largest APS-C sensor at 28 MP and is the highest rated APS-C sensor by DXO Mark. The 2015 DPReview awards 2 weeks ago gave the NX1 both Best High-End Crop Sensor ILC and the Innovation Award. C’mon, just Google a little before recording the show…
Oh, and your comment that Sony is a larger company than Samsung? Today’s stats on both companies:
Samsung Electronics on Forbes Lists
#7 World’s Most Valuable Brands
#18 Global 2000
#12 in Sales
#10 in Profit
#132 in Assets
#26 in Market value
Market Capitalization $199.4 Billion USD
Sony on Forbes Lists
#79 World’s Most Valuable Brands
#478 Global 2000
#97 in Sales
#193 in Assets
#329 in Market value
Market Capitalization $34.2 Billion USD
So Sony is about a tenth of the size of Samsung.
Anyhow, still enjoy the show guys – keep it up!

ok samsung is bigger than sony but if you just compare sony camera business (and not sony whole business) and samsung’s camera business only you’ll have the inverse ratio
ps: i am not a sony fanbox : i have a nx500 because i also like the price/performance ratio of samsung cameras ($599 with kit lens) sharing #1 in dxomark aps-c benchmarks position with the nikon d7200 just in the low range score of full frames.
