Portland

You might have noticed that I’ve been mostly off the grid for the last 3 weeks. If you’re wondering why, it’s because I’ve been traveling all over the place. After my last post I spent a week in and around the Portland area, followed by some work on the cost. I love working in Oregon and I wish I had more time to enjoy it. I’d like to say thanks to those of you who caught up with me downtown, I enjoyed all the free beers, and it was great hanging out with all of you.

Villisca axe house

As soon as I made it back from Oregon, I had to drive through Colorado, Nebraska, and part of Iowa to get to the famous Villisca axe murder house. The whole crew stayed in this old “haunted” house with no electricity, running water, or bathrooms. Very interesting place and well worth checking out if you are into that sort of thing.

Portland trip part 3 (1 of 1)-2

From Iowa I drove back to Denver and headed to New York. Of course it was a midnight flight and my hotel ended up having a shared bathroom. The room was small enough that 3 sides of the bed actually touched the walls, apparently that’s what a cheap motel gets you in Manhattan. If you live in the area you might have seen me running around Union Square covering the Citi bike celebration as well as the Indian Council. I even managed to make it over the Makerbot Store.

I had a pretty good time over the last few weeks of travel, but I’m glad to be home. Back to regular updates on the site starting tomorrow. Hopefully I’ll even have some time to catch up on some video reviews I’ve been working on. I’ll keep you posted, but for now it’s time to get some sleep.
