There are some rumors of a new Panasonic GH4 firmware update coming which might add some “major features”. While that seems to be mostly twitter speculation, new Ebay prices on the GH4 have dropped to $1182
, which brings it pretty close to the price of the new Olympus E-M5 MKII. If you’re a M4/3 shooter, I think the decision you have to make is 4k or image stabilization. I still haven’t pulled the trigger on an E-M5 MKII, but I think it’s because I currently don’t “need” stabilization that bad and part of me wants to wait to see what the Olympus E-M1 mark II will have to offer. 2015 should be an interesting year for cameras.

I’m guessing this is gray market? What’s been your experience buying from overseas? If you have a problem, you have to send it back to Japan?

I’ve bought 3 cameras from deals like this. The only problem I’ve run into is that they require a signature and if you miss it three times, they could send it back. I had one of them get to the 3 try before I managed to be home to sign for it.

The ad says the menu display is only in Japanese so I’m gonna pass on this one but curious about buying from overseas
