12May DSLR Film Noob is moving to a new location!
The move started last week and with the construction plans, we hope to have things completed, or at least usable by the middle of next month. I will continue to post videos of the new place as things come together. I’m very excited about the new studio location and all the extra space.

Hey DeeJay,
Awesome stuff! Wishing good luck with the new place!
If possible, a good documentation of all the stuff you’ll be doing there would be awesome!
Not the same thing, but some months from now I’ll move to a new place and am planning on setting aside a room as a mini-studio of sorts.
Will probably have to think about sound/soundproofing, lighting, and some other stuff.
Kind of an exciting mountaing to climb sort of feeling no? xD

Sweet!!
Oh btw, just fell upon your Youtube vids. Love them. I have a bit of a problem though and maybe you can help me out.
My T2i’s LCD screen is horrible when I’m out in sunlight. Now, imagine that I am using a steadicam, what could I possibly do to help me see how focused my video is in sunlight?
I was thinking of attaching an articulating LCD screen (the $28 one) to the hot shoe and sticking an LCD hood to it. What do you think? The potential issue is that this LCD screen may throw off the balance of the steadicam if the screen moves around the joint while I’m moving.

Just make sure to tighten down the ball and you will be fine, may have to add a little more weight and rebalance it but it will help out a lot.
