02Jul Feature Film work
I don’t spend a lot of time talking about film projects I’m working on because either they don’t relate to the site, or I don’t own the rights to the final product. But sometimes it’s nice to give you guys a sneak peak at some of the work I do. I’m currently working on a feature film project and our shooting schedule takes up a lot of time (and then some). This weekend was our first round of major special effects and there are a lot of things that have to come together for a feature film to work, including scheduling, weather, and of course effects. We don’t have a large budget so we usually only get one chance to film the effects shots.
Our effects artist came through with flying colors and we managed to finish 5 effects shots and a large number of scenes over the course of an 18 hour shooting schedule. All of our actors and actresses made it on time and things went as well as could be expected.
If all goes well, it should be ready for release about this time next year. I would like to thank everyone involved in the project for all of their hard work and I look forward to working with all of you over the next few months. Film making can be a long process, but stick with it guys because there is light at the end of the tunnel.
