Curly 3.5mm cable

I first started using these Curly right angle cables after I picked up a used Beachtek DXA-SLR. Since then I’ve slowly been transitioning the 3.5mm stereo cables I use with camera mounted audio adapters to these Curly right angle cables. At $3.57 a piece (with shipping) their about half the price of the regular cables sold on amazon and the right angle connectors seem to do a better job of staying out of the way when connected to an audio device or to the camera.

The curly part of the cable seems to make them easier to find in your camera bag and the stretchy nature also makes it easier to rap around different parts of the rig. A couple raps around a mounting bracket also reduces the stress applied to the socket on your camera or audio device.

These Curly right angle cables take about 3 weeks to get here from china so it’s a good idea to order a few extra to keep around. If you need one right away you could end up paying upwards of $15 for a 3.5mm cable at a local store. I usually keep at least four 3.5mm cables in each camera bag. You never know what kind of random setup you’ll have to configure once you’re on set.
