06Aug Canon 7d firmware version 2.0 is out.
New Canon 7d firmware version 2.0 is now up on Canon’s site. More on the update once I have a chance to download, install, and test. I’ll keep you posted.

I put my comment on the wrong page but said that after just updating the FW, it appears that you cannot add the manual audio recording level to one of the buttons on the body, for quick access/on the fly adjustment.

I’m testing it with the DS214 pre-amp. I’m not sure whether to leave the sound recording in automatic mode on the 7D. Otherwise I’ll have to check the levels on the DS and the 7D before recording. It’s too bad you can’t display the levels while in live view mode. Or am I missing something?
